Korean soldier opened fire on his comrades




Korean soldier opened fire on his comrades at the police station near the border with North Korea, near the village of Goseong. Five people were killed. 

The sergeant shot and killed 22 members of an infantry division and later escaped from K-2 rifle and ammunition. According to information provided by the agency Yonhap that the soldier "first fired a grenade, and then opened fire." 

Different sources give conflicting information on the number of wounded in an exchange of fire between the sergeant and the firing squad of trying to stop him. 

It is not clear why the soldier identified as Sergeant Im, opened fire on comrades. 

Manhunt continues for sergeant. How to give authorities, military branches block possible escape, secure the border with North Korea and seek to protect areas where civilians reside. 

As reported by the BBC, in the past, in South Korea there were cases of similar gunfights.
