Blocking the street, chanting and singing songs, protesters donned masks and carried upside-down American flags. Eventually, police officers in uniform and in riot gear carrying batons and shields arrived on the scene.
Initially police gave the protesters the latitude to conduct their demonstration. However, when they began blocking the street, officers brought out the riot gear to restore order. At one point, protesters forced a police vehicle to back up and retreat as they advanced and chanted. Cops warned the demonstrators to clear the streets and let traffic through, or otherwise face arrest.
Ultimately, two protesters were arrested.
