In a surprising move, the National Weather Service has blamed the 2004 presidential campaign for the current onslaught of hurricanes devastating the South and Gulf Coast regions of the United States. Said a spokesman: 'There's been so much hot air coming out of Washington, it was bound to have disastrous effects on the climate'.
